The high performance and low price points established by the S6000 family make it possible for designers of surveillance equipment to bring advanced features to the mainstream market. With the introduction of S6000 family software configurable processors, sophisticated video analytics can cost effectively be used to direct the capture of high definition video streams. The latest compression techniques such as the H.264 Scalable Video CODEC can be used to efficiently compress the captured video in a manner that makes it easy to manage over time and readily accessible across bandwidth limited networks.

To speed time to market for system designers, OEMs, and system integrators, Stretch has developed several products that harness the power of Stretch S6000 software configurable processors. The VRC6000 Series of PCIe DVR Add-in cards feature the Stretch Intelligent Encoder and are available in high definition, standard definition and CIF resolution versions. These products are available as both a conventional reference design or as one of Stretch's production-ready OEM products. Other designs include a High Definition Internet Protocol (IP) camera, optimized for image quality and compression efficiency, and a low-power D1 Resolution IP camera for space constrained applications. All encoding surveillance products and reference designs use the Stretch Intelligent Encoder to provide multi CODEC capability with built-in video pre-processing and analytics.
