The S5000 software-configurable processor family is the first standard product in the industry to embed programmable logic within the processor. Based on Stretch’s revolutionary S5 engine, the S5000 processor family can dramatically boost system performance by accelerating compute-intensive tasks through the Stretch Instruction Set Extension Fabric (ISEF). System developers simultaneously optimize the application software and the S5000 instruction–set architecture by tailoring the embedded programmable logic within the processor engine to the application.
