Stretch Inc. Appoints New President and CEO, Craig Lytle

Former Altera Executive Brings Deep Expertise to Leader in Software Configurable Processors

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 18, 2006 – Stretch Inc., the pioneer and leader in software configurable processors, today announced the appointment of Craig Lytle to the position of president and chief executive officer effective April 17, 2006. He also joins Stretch's board of directors. Lytle brings extensive management, marketing and engineering experience from Altera Corporation, a leader in programmable logic.

"As an industry veteran, I have witnessed phenomenal growth and various methods used in approaching embedded systems design through programmable technology," said Lytle. "Stretch's vision of delivering software configurable processors is the right solution and is revolutionizing embedded systems design as we know it today. The principal advantage of Stretch's technology is the ability to deliver incredible performance without compromising time-to-market."

Lytle has nearly 20 years experience in the programmable logic industry with Altera Corporation. Most recently he was vice president of system engineering where he was responsible for the company's IP, system-level tools, and end-market solutions. This included overseeing the company's embedded processing technology and solutions. Lytle has also held positions in marketing, sales, product planning, engineering, and applications. Throughout his career, Lytle has been instrumental in creating innovative solutions and bringing them to market.

Lytle earned a BSEE degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California and a BA in Management Engineering from Claremont McKenna College in Los Angles, California. He has been awarded over 20 patents in programmable logic technology and its applications.

"Craig Lytle's keen understanding of the embedded industry and rich background in programmable technology will ensure Stretch's continued progress in delivering a technology that is changing the face of embedded systems design," said James Wei, Stretch board of directors. "In addition, his proven organizational leadership and ability to forge innovative technologies into reality will greatly contribute to Stretch and our customers' success."

Gary Banta, former CEO and board member, conceived the idea for Stretch while serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Worldview Technology Partners in 2002. He is primarily responsible for laying the foundation of the company, gaining tremendous customer traction, and escalating the company's reputation as a recognized leader in software configurable technology. "The Board of Directors and Stretch management team wish to thank Gary Banta for his valuable and long-lasting contributions," said James Wei. Gary Banta will continue to serve as a consultant to Stretch.
