Stretch Chosen As "Emerging Star" At TiEcon 2005 – The World's Largest Conference For Entrepreneurs

Gary Banta, CEO to participate in Emerging Stars Panel

MOUNTAIN VIEW and SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 13, 2005 – Companies with a strong go-forward strategy, solid management team, and most importantly, break-through technology are being honored as "Emerging Stars" at this year's TiEcon 2005, the world's largest and most successful conference for entrepreneurs. This year, Stretch, a pioneer and leader in software-configurable processor devices, has been chosen as one of those companies.

"We are honored to be selected as an Emerging Star by TiEcon," said Gary Banta, Stretch CEO and co-founder. "Stretch was created with the firm belief that software-configurable technology can address many of the current design challenges in the semiconductor industry and our inclusion at this reputed event is reaffirming."

"We are proud to host a forum that highlights innovative companies such as Stretch as it truly embodies the global entrepreneurial spirit which is the foundation of TiE," said Manish Chandra, chairman for TiEcon's Emerging Stars program. "In addition to innovation, Stretch has been recognized for its ability to impact global markets and help drive growth in technology industries."

Gary Banta will speak as part of the Semiconductors Emerging Stars Panel on Saturday, May 14th from 12-1pm. The general theme of the panel will revolve around industry drivers such as globalization of the semiconductors industry and dramatic growth in the consumer electronics market.

Nominated companies are judged and ranked by industry veterans, corporate executives and successful entrepreneurs from among TiE's 10,000+ worldwide membership. These experts are currently in the process of ranking nominated companies in eight categories – software, emerging technologies, security, wireless, networking, Internet, semiconductor and services.

TiEcon 2005 will be held May 13 and 14 at The Westin Hotel and Conference Center located at 5101 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara, California. This year's theme "Energizing the Global Entrepreneurial Spirit" will bring together more than 3,000 participants representing thought leaders, corporate executives, and successful veteran entrepreneurs for two days of learning, discussion, and networking.
