Azure Communications Partners with Stretch Inc.

Software Configurable Processors Add Flexibility to WiMAX Offerings

Los Gatos, CA, June 19, 2006 – Azure Communications Inc. (Azurecomm) today announced a partnership with Stretch Inc., in which Stretch will supply software configurable processors to add flexibility to Azure Communications’ wireless broadband equipment. Significantly, Stretch processors are software upgradeable, which will allow Azure Communications customers to reconfigure and add features to their base stations as required.

“Stretch brings a unique differentiator to our wireless broadband offerings,” stated James Bertonis, founder and chief executive officer of Azure Communications. “Where most WiMAX processors are hard coded, the flexibility of the Stretch design allows us to upload new code remotely, effectively upgrading customer equipment with the click of a mouse. In addition, the Stretch design fits well in our extremely compact architecture and supports our goal of delivering the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) in the wireless broadband base station market.”

“We’re very excited about our partnership with Azure Communications,” commented Dianne Hilly, sales director for Stretch Inc. “The flexibility and performance of Stretch’s processors, combined with Azure’s deep wireless expertise opens up a new market that we believe has tremendous potential.”
