Stretch Shipping World's Only 32 Channel PCIe DVR Add-in Card
VRC7032 delivers unprecedented channel density to the surveillance industry
SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 30th 2011 – Stretch Inc., the pioneer and leader in software configurable processors, today announced it is now shipping its 32 channel VRC7032 PCIe DVR add-in card. Leveraging the power of the Stretch S7100 software configurable processor, the VRC7032 can capture and compress up to 32 channels of video and audio, making it the world's highest channel density PCIe DVR add-in card. The VRC7032 uses the highly efficient Stretch H.264 High Profile CODEC to deliver the surveillance industry's best video quality.
The VRC7032 is compatible with Stretch's rich software developers kit (SDK), standard across all Stretch add-in cards. This ensures rapid porting of host application software and makes the VRC7032 a simple plug-in addition to existing Stretch installations. VRC7032 cards are available as OEM units for volume production, or as either an evaluation or full reference design kit for customers that prefer to design their own derivative products.
Commenting on the new card, Bob Beachler, Stretch vice president of marketing, operations, and system design said, "The VRC7032 is a milestone for the surveillance industry. Its ground breaking channel density and superior video quality sets new performance benchmarks."
The VRC7032 card's 32 channels of captured video can be scaled and tiled into user-defined matrices for display via two CVBS output displays. Two eAIM interfaces provide high speed connectivity to other Stretch add-in cards without host processor intervention. These features allow the VRC7032 to provide 32 channels of analog video capture, compression, and display, and then share the captured streams with other cards such as the VDC7002LHDMI. This allows for display on multiple high definition monitors without the need for an expensive host processor system.
The Stretch H.264 Scalable Video CODEC (SVC) gives the VRC7032 ultimate flexibility. Using Stretch SVC, streams can be encoded at full frame rate and resolution to provide a high quality video record. The streams can then be parsed to reduce their bandwidth requirements for remote monitoring or reduced in frame rate or resolution to decrease consumption of expensive storage while still retaining a long term video archive.
"The VRC7032 fits seamlessly into the Stretch portfolio of PCIe DVR add-in cards," continued Beachler. "Its compatibility with our standard SDK makes it a simple drop-in addition to existing surveillance installations. eAIM connectivity allows the VRC7032 to interface with other Stretch products to deliver High Definition display and true hybrid capability in a very cost effective platform."
